She has a longing to be treated like a princess and every garment of mine makes her feel like a queen.” Barkha uses various designs and styles to represent different occasions. She loves to use embellishments like brocade stitching. Her pieces fuse together the richness and cultural colours of the Middle East with the modern day trends of the Western world. Barkha never compromises on the quality of her fabrics. She attributes this to the rich cultural background she was brought up in.“I was always surrounded by beautiful fabrics like lace and raw silk.” She is also inspired by jewellery and uses rich shades of colours to reflect gemstones and jewel tones.
