Bite Autumn 2012

This season at MATH everything was about shape. The collection was cool, understated yet utterly glamorous. Smart trousers with dual colour were paired together with laid back shirts with the collars open and the colours contrasting upon the shirt.Texture was big and the pencil skirt has been given a new update. A smart, sexy and utterly chic collection and each piece could inevitably be called a new wardrobe staple.

Corrie Nielsen brought her general couture- esque collection to the catwalk in the most delightful way. Nielsen’s fascination with Kew Gardens was the inspiration behind this collection as we saw lots of floral references from tulip shaped dresses to the soft ruffles; an absolute visual treat. The colour scheme remained soft as we saw light gold, soft blues and of course some glowing pinks. Leaf printing was also evident as we saw this upon one dress in particular. But as always with a Nielsen show it was all about those eccentric and sublimely stunning closing dresses; breaths were taken aback and sighs were heard amongst those on the front row. To say this was an element of sheer beauty would have been an understatement as a tulip shaped dress with a flowing train closed the show. Nielsen struck again and this time she had ultimate flower power.
