Maria Grachvogel brought us a much muted colour palette for spring/summer 2013. The collection was made up of white, beige and incredibly soft hues, which gave the collection a softer stance. Grachvogel predominately used a lot of chiffon for this collection, which aided her softer approach and while there was a large use of this floaty material, there was evidently a strong sense of structure from within. Strong crisp shirts were paired together with tailored trousers, while swimwear was a main component of this utterly appealing collection. Overall the collection was beautiful, elegant and exceptionally laid back, and had the perfect mix of structure and minimalism.

‘ Imperfect beauty’ was the theme behind this season’s collection at Felder Felder as the German sisters produced what can only be described as a more grown up collection. Fragile broken butterfly wings were the main pattern within this collection and even though this patterning looked like leopard prints, it only added to the show’s overall concept. Colour-wise, we saw lots of soft hues and muted tones with the occasional injection of a strong teal. There were also strips of soft buttery leather, a huge use of chiffon and the odd use of suede which reminded us of the grungy roots of the Felder Felder girls, but yet as the show progressed we were brought face to face with some of the most glamorous gowns that we had seen all week. Elegant floating gowns with thigh high splits in a delectable shade of peach only emphasised everything that was right with this collection. It brought sophistication and high glamour to the Felder Felder catwalk.
